This is the story of the 1995 rescheduling petition and how it provided the scientific and legal foundation for the now-pending 2002 Cannabis Rescheduling petition.  This narrative contains links to background information the marijuana-related research summarized in the petition and the legal basis for the current rescheduling effort.

This was originally prepared as a handout for the 3rd National Clinical Conference on Cannabis Therapeutics in 2004 and contains a time line and list of important reference materials for all three rescheduling efforts.
