estimate of marijuana arrests in the United States. "Crime
in the United States" (CUIS) is an annual report from the
Federal Bureau of Investigtion and contains national estimates
of the total number of arrests for marijuana and other
drug offenses. These estimates, like other data reported
on this web site, are based on local agency reports to
the Uniform Crime Reporting Program. However the national
estimates presented in CUIS are a combination of hard data
reported from local agencies and estimated data to account
for areas of the country that have not participated in
the the UCR program.
